Sixth Grade
Mrs. Williamson’s Teaching Philosophy
To create a classroom environment where all students feel welcomed and safe. I will motivate students to learn and engage them in classroom activities. I too will learn from my students, pushing myself to be a better educator. I will encourage and assist all students who are struggling, by praising their hard work and determination. I will also encourage and challenge students who are ready for the next step. My classroom management is consistent and in line with PBIS (Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports). Open communication is important; I will extend an invitation to parents to help with projects, field trips, and other classroom activities. By doing these things, I hope to create a community within the classroom. Through teaching, I feel I can grow and enrich the lives of children in a positive direction.
About Me
I have strong roots in Wyoming; as a 5th generation ranching family. I am passionate about agriculture and the western way of life. My family and faith is important to me. My husband and I have a daughter, who attends St. Mary’s. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, crafting and quilting. I volunteer for several organizations including my church. I believe it is important to build strong relationships with those in our community.
