Jeff Wordeman

Interim Principal, PE and Coach

Jeff Wordeman is in his 7th year as St. Mary’s PE Teacher, and 2nd as Assistant Principal. Jeff has been married to his wife, Lisa, for 24 years and they have two children, Jeremiah (21) and Mattie (17).  Jeff is a native of Cheyenne, but spent many years in Oregon, where he was a police officer.  He moved back to Cheyenne in 2003, where he continued his career in the law enforcement field as a fingerprint analyst for 6 years.

After much prayer and long discussions, Jeff and his wife agreed it was time for him to make a change, so Jeff followed his passion to become a PE teacher and started pursuing his dream in 2012 at the University of Wyoming.  He graduated from UW in the spring of 2015 and is very excited about teaching at St. Mary’s Catholic School.

When he’s not teaching, Jeff is likely to be found coaching some sport.  Jeff is passionate about every aspect of football, from coaching (18 years) and watching to playing (3 years of high school and 2 years of Semi Professional in Oregon) and even owning his own semi-professional team (4 years).  Jeff is a 2-year volunteer football coach at Central High School and is now coaching at Johnson Junior High.  He also has coached middle school girl’s and boys’ basketball, girl’s and boys’ elementary basketball, and elementary track.
