These standards are to be included as part of the teaching process in elementary general music to accomplish the assessment of the five competencies in musical skills. They are aligned with both the national and statewide standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All students will explore rhythm, poetry, melody, dance, and harmony every day in music class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students also have many opportunities to explore music and dance in extracurricular activities including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Theatre productions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Handbell choir<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choir<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strings and Band<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ukulele Club<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Guitar Club<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The St. Mary\u2019s School Music Curriculum is standard for all grade levels.
