I am a graduate of Concordia University, Seward NE with a B. S. in Elementary Education in 1981 and a Masters in Education in 2005. I have taught school in Texas, Kansas, Tennessee, Arkansas and Wyoming. I have taught all grades from PreSchool 3 through 8th Grade. I taught here at St. Mary's from 2003-2005 when I did PreSchool 4 and Kindergarten , then again from 2007-2011 when I did Middle School, Math, History and Science. All together I have taught for 28 years.
I have been married to my husband Dan, for 33 years and have one daughter, Rebecca Shenefelt and 3 beautiful grandchildren. In my spare time, I love spending time hiking, camping and spending time with my family.
I came to St. Mary's because of the atmosphere of Christian love and acceptance found here and the great education. I love being able to share my faith in the Lord with students and to help each children be the best they can be. I like to challenge my students to learn all they can and to think for themselves.
