My name is Robert Moreno and I have been teaching here at St. Mary's as a substitute teacher since May 2016. I became a Wyoming resident in 1995 and have remained a resident for the last 22 years. I was born in Scottsbluf Nebraska and after 23 years in the United States Air Force I retired here in Cheyenne Wyoming. I am married to Geri Lynch of Roscommon Ireland and we have four children, 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
I have a 5 year Wyoming Substitute Teaching certificate valid until 2022. My background includes instructing military members, public speaking and 15 years as a CCD instructor for military parish familys. I have four degrees with the highest being a Masters Degree from the University of Wyoming.
I assumed the teaching role for the 5th Grade class on 1 November 2016 and added a sense of stability to the students in both the 5th Grade and the Fourth Grade. The 5th and 4th grade classes are instructed in the disciplines of Math, Science, Social Studies. I also instruct the 5th in Religion. When I was hired I was faced with picking up on the Science Fair projects for both the 4th and 5th grades. Working with the students and parents I was able to prepare the all students and guided students into a couple of 4th and 5th graders to win with four students placing 3rd, 2nd and 1st with one 'Best in Show" winner. The LCSD Board of Trustees requested the "Best in Show" winner and my presence at the board meeting of 6 February 2017 where the "Best in Show" winner Annika Kean recievd a certificate for her science fair project.
